House Terms & Conditions
General Conditions:
You may check in from 14:00 hours.
You must check out by 11:00 noon.
We accept bookings for bed and breakfast
accommodation only, regardless of whether you intend to pursue
local services ( golf , fishing, touring etc.) during your accommodation
period. For the purposes of our terms and conditions this will
be known as bed and breakfast accommodation only.
The terms and conditions of the guest house will apply to your
booking. These terms and conditions may limit and/or exclude the
guest house's liability to you. Copies of these conditions are
available on request from us.
Although every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of
the information (including prices), on our website or any future
brochures we may publish, regrettably changes and errors occasionally
occur. You must therefore check the details of your chosen break
(including the price) at the time of booking. We reserve the right
to make changes to and correct errors in advertised prices and
other details at any time before your break is confirmed.
1. CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING
A booking can be made with Sheilan House in the following ways:
(i) Faxing a signed booking request or emailing to us; or
(ii) By telephoning us on +27 46 624 4076
In order to confirm your booking you must also make all payments
to us in accordance with clause 2 below.
On receipt of your booking and all appropriate payments, we will
issue you with a confirmation/invoice. This will show the balance
to be paid and the date by which it is due. At this point your
binding contract will come into existence. Please check this invoice
carefully as soon as you receive it. Contact us immediately if
any information which appears on the confirmation or any other
document appears to be incorrect or incomplete as it may not be
possible to make changes later.
2. PAYMENT
A deposit of 50% per person must be paid at the time of booking.
The balance of your break must be paid prior to departure. Bookings
made less than one calendar month before accommodation is required
must be paid in full at the time of booking. We reserve the right
to cancel your booking and retain your deposit.
3. CANCELLATION OF BOOKINGS
/ FAILURE OF ARRIVAL
Cancellations made 15 to 28 days prior
to the agreed arrival date forfeit 75% of the deposit or 25% of
the booking quote value, whichever the greater. Cancellations
made 29 days or more prior to the agreed arrival date forfeit
50% of the deposit or 25% of the booking total, whichever is the
greater.
Failure of the customer to arrive,
or cancellations made 0 to 14 days prior to the agreed arrival
date forfeit 100% of the deposit.
On receipt of written instruction to cancel the
reservation, including bank details, the refund amount applicable
will be refunded within 3 working days. Should the bank be outside
South Africa an additional charge of R185.00 will be levied.
4. PRICING
Normal accommodation consists of one night's bed and breakfast
. Prices are based on twin occupancy of rooms and are subject
to change. Single room supplements may apply.
We reserve the right to change accommodation prices depending
upon the season that the accommodation is required. This may also
apply to school holiday periods, public holidays and school terms.
Any price changes will be clearly advised to you at the time of
booking. Any subsequent reduction in prices due to special offers
will not apply to confirmed bookings.
5. COMPLAINTS
If you have a complaint or experience any problems during your
break with us please inform us as soon as possible, preferably
before you check out. All verbal complaints must be put in writing.
If the matter cannot be rectified at the time, you must notify
us in writing within two weeks of completion of your break. If
you fail to follow this procedure, this may affect your entitlement
to claim compensation where this would or may otherwise have been
appropriate.
6. METHODS OF PAYMENT
We accept Visa and Master Credit Cards, also recognized Debit
Cards and Cash. Cheques are not accepted.
7. BEHAVIOUR
When you book with us, you accept responsibility for any damage
or loss caused by you or any member of your party. Full payment
for any such damage or loss must be paid direct at the time to
the hotel or other supplier. If you fail to do so, you will be
responsible for meeting any claims subsequently made against us
(together with our own and the other party's full legal costs)
as a result of your actions.
We expect all clients to have consideration for other people.
If in our reasonable opinion or in the reasonable opinion of any
other person in authority, you or any member of your party behaves
in such a way as to cause or be likely to cause danger, upset
or distress to any third party or damage to property, we or the
supplier of the service in question are entitled, without prior
notice, to terminate the break of the person(s) concerned. In
this situation, the person(s) concerned will be required to leave
the hotel or other service. We nor the supplier will have any
further responsibility toward such person(s) including any return
travel arrangements. No refunds will be made and we will not pay
any expenses or costs incurred as a result of the termination.
8. SPECIAL REQUESTS AND MEDICAL PROBLEMS
If you or any member of your party has any medical problem or
disability that may affect your break, please tell us before you
confirm your booking. In any event, you must give us full details
in writing at the time of booking.
9. INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
Inclement weather is inevitable during the course of the year
which may affect the use of Sheilan House facilities. This will
not be the basis of any refunds of accommodation fees.
10. CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS BY US
Occasionally, we have to make changes to and correct errors on
our website or in any future brochures and other details both
before and after bookings have been confirmed and cancel confirmed
bookings. Whilst we always endeavor to avoid changes and cancellations,
we reserve the right to do so.
11. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
Your contract and all matters arising out of it are governed by
South African law. You agree that any dispute, claim or other
matter which arises out of or in connection with this contract
or your break will be dealt with in the courts or any part of
the SA in which you live. If you live outside the South Africa
you will be required to attend a South African court.
12. WEBSITE USAGE
Your use of this website is treated as confirmation
that you have understood and agreed to be bound by all of these
terms and conditions. Use of this web site is prohibited unless
you agree to these Terms and Conditions. You must not use this
website if you have not read these terms and conditions.

Sheilan House, their clients, associate companies
and any sub-agents give notice to anyone visiting this website
that, your use is subject to the terms and conditions as set out
below. You are reminded that the content of the site may amended
from time to time by Sheilan House.

Intellectual Property Rights
The contents of the pages of this site belong to
Sheilan House. You may not reproduce a permanent copy of this,
or any part of this, site. You may not reproduce all or any part

of the material. You must also include such acknowledgement and

beyond its reasonable control.
Sheilan House makes no warranty that this site is
free from errors, defects or viruses.
Whilst Sheilan House and its associated companies
have no obligation to update this site, Sheilan House uses all
reasonable efforts to ensure that the information published on
this website is complete, accurate and up-to-date, no representations
or warranties are made (express or implied) as to the accuracy
or completeness of such information.
We may, at our sole discretion, terminate, change
or suspend any part of our site, including any content, features
or hours of availability.
Consequently, this Site is provided "AS IS",
without a warranty of any kind.
Sheilan House and its associated companies cannot
accept any responsibility (to the extent permitted by law) for
any loss arising directly or indirectly from the use of, or any

the validity of the balance of the Agreement, which shall remain

& Conditions
We reserve the right to change the content of this
site (including the terms and conditions) at any time. Therefore,
it is your responsibility to visit this page of the site on a
regular basis to ascertain whether any amendments have been made.
If you do not agree to amendments made, you should immediately
stop using the site.
Whilst we take every care to ensure that the standard
of this site remains high and to maintain the continuity of it,
we do not accept any ongoing obligation or responsibility to operate
this site (or any particular part of it). If any part of our terms
and conditions is deemed to be unenforceable (including any provision
in which we exclude our liability to you) the enforceability of
any other part of these conditions will not be affected.
12.5 Data Protection
Sheilan House respect and value the security and
privacy of those of its contacts. Sheilan House follows strict
security procedures in the storage and disclosure of personal
information in order to prevent unauthorized access. Personal
Data is held on our administration database either because of
work we have undertaken or are currently engaged in. You will
not however, receive any unwanted material through the post.
In accordance with your rights you may request the
amendment of the personal information held or to cease receiving
requested direct marketing materials.
Sheilan House does not sell, rent or deal in the
personal information we hold. Information may, in the ordinary
course of business, move between Sheilan House, its associated
companies and to our contractors.

stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive. Sheilan
House may use cookies to allow us to offer various services without
you having to retype your personal details and preferences. Most

12.7 IP Addresses
Sheilan House may log IP addresses to help diagnose
problems with our servers and for system administration. Sheilan
House shall only use these addresses for technical & tracking
purposes.

Sheilan House captures industry standard information
solely for the purposes of analysis. Information contained in
server log files is intended for internal use only and will not
be disclosed to our partners.
