Sheilan House is
a short par 3 walk to the entrance of Royal Port Alfred Golf
Club and 29 kilometres from Fish River Sun.
ROYAL PORT ALFRED
– is one of the true links courses in South Africa.
It is set on rolling hills overlooking the Indian Ocean.
The thick bush abounds with bird life and several species
of deer graze next to the fairways. Don’t be surprised
to see a turtle laying eggs in the rough!
The 5800 metre course has a unique layout
which , in true links tradition, tests one’s ability
to read both the elements and the course.

Spend a few hours at one with nature before returning
to the bustle of Port Alfred for a relaxing meal at one of
the many
restaurants or even join your hosts at Sheilan House for a
home cooked meal. There are several other golf courses within easy reach including
Humewood in Port Elizabeth which is consistently ranked in the
top 10 of South African courses.
Sheilan House can organise day trips
to any of the courses Advance booking is essential.
Port Alfred enjoys a temperate climate throughout the year.
April, October and November offer ideal conditions for golf as
well as the other advantages of low season.
